Offers financial assistance to owners of domestic animals who need non-basic, non-urgent veterinary care, such as:

  • Cancer Treatment
  • Heart Disease
  • Chronic Conditions
  • Endocrine Diseases
  • Eye Disease
  • etc.

Does not cover the following care:

  • Basic Care (spay/neuter procedures, dental, vaccinations, etc.)
  • Urgent Care (diagnostic testing, broken leg, torn ligament, etc.)
  • Emergency Care (life-threatening injuries or illnesses)

Eligible pet owners can apply for a ONE-TIME grant which must be for already adopted animals whose medical needs match the care above, pet owners must reside in the United States.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Owners of domestic animals who need non-basic, non-urgent veterinary care. Program may only be used once for assistance. Animal’s medical needs must be able to wait for the length of the current waitlist, and owners must contact The Pet Fund by email with a request prior to sending their application.
Availability: Up to 1 time every 1 year(s).

Application Process: Contact The Pet Fund by email BEFORE applying for funding with a description of the animal's medical needs. Send your email, including a phone number where you can be reached to [email protected]. Only leave a voicemail if you have received an email response from The Pet Fund.
Payment methods:
Program Fees: No fees.
Documents Required: - Recent income statements. Cannot use tax forms.
- Copy of a written cost estimate for the needed procedures and/or treatment from the veterinarian.
- Name, address, and medical license number for your treating veterinarian.
Normal Wait Time: Wait list time is currently at 3 months for new applicants.
