NAMI Nevada County (National Alliance for Mental Illness) offers a free 8 week educational program that helps family members and friends understand mental illness symptoms, basics of brain biology, problem solving, medications, empathy, communication skills, self-care, rehabilitation, fighting stigma, and advocacy.
