No fee voucher to obtain a California ID from the California Department of Motor Vehicles, for those experiencing homelessness.

Also offers reduced fee vouchers for those who qualify, and receive benefits from CalFresh, Medi-Cal, SSI, and similar public benefits programs.

Eligibility: Free Voucher: Must be experiencing homelessness.
Reduced Fee Voucher: Must currently be receiving one of the following: CalFresh, Medi-Cal, Cal-Works, Cal-Win, SSI, or General Assistance.
Availability: Up to 1 time every 6 month(s).
Languages: Spanish, English
Application Process: Walk-in.
Payment methods:
Program Fees: Free Voucher: No fees.
Reduced Fee Voucher: Clients can receive a Reduced Fee DMV Identification Voucher for $11 at DMV.
Documents Required: Bring one of the following: CalFresh/EBT, Medi-Cal card, Cal-Works/Notice of Action of benefits/D.H.A. printout, Cal-Win Docs, SSI Award letter/Benefit letter/Direct Deposit card or proof of General Assistance.
Normal Wait Time: 10 - 15 minutes.
