Description

Provides free, nutritious food to low-income seniors living in Sacramento County. Eligible participants will receive a 30-pound box of groceries each month. Groceries are pre-packed in boxes and include a variety of foods such as:

  • Milk
  • Cereal
  • Grains
  • Cheese
  • Juice
  • Canned meat
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned fruit

Individuals who would like to enroll a senior who is unable to physically attend a distribution must fill out the Participant Application Form. ​Enrolled program participants who would like to designate someone to pick up food on their behalf must fill out the Alternate Pick-Up Form.

Eligibility: Must be at least 60 years old, and income must be below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (effective as of January 2026).

Income-Based Eligibility Guidelines:
Household size of 1: monthly income of $1,995; annual income of $23,940
Household size of 2: monthly income of $2,705; annual income of $32,460
Household size of 3: monthly income of $3,415; annual income of $40,980
Household size of 4: monthly income of $4,125; annual income of $49,500
Household size of 5: monthly income of $4,835; annual income of $58,020
Household size of 6: monthly income of $5,545; annual income of $66,540

Add $710 for each additional person in the household.

Application Process: Visit any public distribution site to enroll. Participant must present documents and complete a short application.
