Description

Provides extended foster care for former foster youth (ages 18-21) who have opted to extend their foster care to age 21 and have agreed to receive additional services.

Youths live in a subsidized apartment while pursuing both school and employment opportunities. Youth are also given a monthly stipend to assist with everyday living needs (clothes, food, utility bills, etc.).

Application Process: Referrals to this program are made by the Sacramento County Child Protective Services (CPS). Youth who have elected for this option should be directed to their County Case Manager to secure a referral.
