BUREAU OF ANIMAL CONTROL: Picks up strays, dead animals, and issues citations for animal complaints such as animals roaming on public property, or unlicensed dogs. Drop off site for unwanted animals (during operation hours only). Investigates and enforces all state and local laws concerning animals. Reports animal bites and investigates: cruelty to animals; animal care facilities, including grooming shops and boarding facilities; unlicensed kennels; and other animal complaints. Distributes literature and makes public presentations on responsible pet ownership, pet care and animal control laws.
