 Description

DIVISION OF FOOD CONTROL: Monitors health concerns with food establishments, such as contamination of food, contact surfaces, and the transmission of food-borne illnesses. Examines food, food handling, storage, preparation, and transportation. Monitors food permits, appears in court as law enforcers, and responds to citizen complaints. Also inspects hospitals, nursing homes, adult day care facilities, child day care centers and some homes applying for family day care or renewal of day care licenses.
