EVICTION PREVENTION ASSISTANCE: Offers court ordered eviction prevention assistance and will only pay the last $250. Must have court-ordered eviction, cannot assist without court notice. Indiviudal must obtain all the funds except the final $250.00. The center pays the FINAL $250.00. Must have an income that exceeds rent. Name must be on the lease and has not previously used financial assistance through the Franciscan Center. Funds are usually available the first week of the month. Must have a notice of eviction from the court. Eviction assistance is once in a lifetime. Does not assist with back rent or security deposit or rental assistance. Helps with court ordered evictions only. Does not help with monthly rent payment, failure to pay rent notice, and does not help with past due rent.

Application Process: Walk-in for assistance but visit website first for more details.

Program Fees: None.
Documents Required: Individuals must have a photo ID and proof of need. Name must be on lease. Additional required items to bring include court ordered eviction or warrant of restitution, proof of income, promissory notes of other organizations assisting in paying rent (promissory notes must be in time frame of eviction), or proof that they have the remainder of the funds to pay the rent.

Volunteer requirements: 14 and older.
