 Description
Offers a Meals on Wheels option for seniors who are unable to participate in traditional grocery assistance programs due to inability to prepare their own meals. Qualified seniors will receive seven (7) nutritious prepared meals on a weekly basis.
This program was specifically designed for seniors aged 60 and older who are:
At-risk or currently food insecure.
Homebound due to illness, disability, and/or unable to attend a congregate meal site.
Unable to participate in Golden Groceries due to inability to prepare and/or cook items provided.
Unable to have a caretaker (formal or informal) to prepare meals.
Able to store prepared meals safely.
Able to reheat meals safely (i.e., microwave, oven, etc.).
