Faculty staff working at a long-term care facility should be referred to DSS to make a report - See our Protective Services for the Elderly Agency Arrangement after hours Monday through Friday, 24/7 on weekends & holidays

Description
Trained volunteer ombudsmen advocate for rights and needs of individuals residing in long term care facilities. Ombudsmen advocate for residents' rights, mediate between resident and facility administration, provide information, and identify and resolve problems through collaborative problem-solving and/or referral to appropriate agencies. Volunteer ombudsmen visit nursing homes four hours per week in order to be available to residents and families needing assistance resolving problems.
