Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) empowers and assists Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and aging service providers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors and abuse through outreach, counseling and education. In Connecticut, SMP is operated by the Department of Aging and Disability Services, State Unit on Aging in cooperation with the regional Area Agencies on Aging and the many volunteers who help power the program in our communities.
