Description
Ensures that the administration of public assistance and social services programs is nondiscriminatory and that no person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal or state financial assistance based on a protected class. Accepts discrimination complaints from individuals.
Protected classes include:

- Ethnic group identification
- Physical or mental disability
- Age
- Sex
- Gender
- Gender identity or expression
- Sexual orientation
- Marital status
- Domestic partnership
- Medical condition
- Genetic information
- Religion or political affiliation
- Citizenship or immigration status
- Any other protected basis under federal or state law
