Description
Provides a variety of services for youth and young adults.
Hill Country Teen Center: Provides a fun healthy space for youth in grades 5 to 9 living in Eastern Shasta County. Offers a safe environment after school to learn essential life skills, engage in fun activities/clubs, and develop positive character traits.
- The Teen Center is open after school. Plans summer outings, as well.
Peer Services: Older high school and younger college students provide mentorships at the Teen Center. Mentorships help youth build confidence, make positive choices, and develop a positive network.
Transitional Shared Housing Program: Serves students ages 18-24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Must be enrolled in and attending California Youth Build Academy or Shasta College. Must also be a patient of Hill Country health and Wellness Center. Services include:
- Enhanced Case Management and other support services
- Referrals to other services that support success in school and life.
Entry point for the Coordinated Entry System (CES): Links young adult clients ages 18-24 to a variety of housing assistance services. These can include rapid re-housing and permanent supportive housing. Supportive services include:
- Case management
- Limited financial assistance.
