Provides support in the following areas of specialized educational programs:

  • Alternative education
  • Special education
  • Independent Study.

Excel Academy serves students in grades K-8. This program helps address the needs of students who require an intensive program. Addresses emotional disabilities or serious behaviors that impede their learning.

Court Schools serve youth who are wards of the court. These programs monitored by Juvenile Probation.

Shasta County Independent Study (SCIS) serves students in grades 6-12. It is an alternative to conventional educational settings. Allows students to complete coursework independently under the supervision of a credentialed teacher.
