 Description
Provides support services for families of children ages birth to three years. Serves children who have vision, hearing or speech impairments or orthopedic conditions. Services include:
  • Developing unique service plans
  • Parent education
  • Support meetings
  • Referrals to other agencies and services available in the community.
Specialists track the child's growth and development by visiting families in their homes. They also assess the needs and transition planning for preschool services.

Eligibility: Open to families of children ages birth to three years who's development is delayed, or at risk of delay, due to any of the following conditions:

-Impairment in vision

-Hearing or speech

-Orthopedic condition such as spina bifida or cerebral palsy

-Congenital syndrome such as Down Syndrome

-Seizure disorder

-Other chronic health problem

-Autism

-Mental retardation

-Emotional disturbance
