Description
SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT: Provides addiction treatment services for both adolescents and adults. Offers an intensive outpatient program, adult methadone maintenance and suboxone program, and adult forensic treatment at the Wicomico County Detention Center for males and females. Addictions specialists are placed at Social Services to provide substance use screening services to all Temporary Cash Assistance applicants, minor parent's in a TCA household, Food Stamp applicants, and recipients who have been convicted of a drug related felony and referrals from Child Protective Services who are suspected of having substance abuse problems.
-Adult Intensive Outpatient Program: Provided to individuals that meet the criteria for Level I care. Treatment can be provided for less than 9 hours per week and lasts a minimum of 26 weeks. Individuals are also linked with community resources to help further their progress in other areas of their life.
-Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program: Provides early intervention and Level I treatment and groups consist on meeting once per week for one hour for up to 26 weeks. Services also include family support, education, and referrals.
-Medication-Assisted Treatment: Offers off-site medication-assisted treatment for the treatment of substance use disorders through the use of methadone, suboxone, and vivitrol. For patients who are addicted to opiates.
