UTILITY ASSISTANCE: Provides limited utility assistance. All customers must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify:

  • Must be a Baltimore County resident

  • No turn-off notices on the account

  • Must meet the eligible income guidelines

  • The utility bill must be in the customer’s name

  • Maximum assistance up to $600.00 and the bill can not be more than $600

  • Must be able to pay any remaining balance at the time of service

Availability: Up to 1 time every 1 year(s).

Application Process: Call for assistance and screening. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Documents Required: -ID for all household members 18 and over (proof of replacement ID/DL accepted)
-Social security cards for all household members (proof from social security administration accepted),
-Income information for all household members, SSI, SSDI, TCA, Food Stamp Award letter, paystubs for last 30 days, child support, unemployment, or pension.
-BGE bill
-Proof of other payments or commitments.
