Description

Provides comprehensive research-informed vocational, educational, and treatment programs to offenders. Aims to reduce the rate of incarceration and offer the tools necessary for successful reintegration into the community.

Programs include:

  • Education Courses: Courses include Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation, Parenting, Computers, Public Speaking, and College Success.
  • Employment Preparation and Readiness Training: Teach strategies for employment success, including the development of a resume, interview practice, employment sustainability, and how to dress and present oneself in a professional setting.
  • Vocational Training: Programs include Culinary Arts, Custodial Training, Horticulture and Landscaping, Welding and Manufacturing, Automotive Training, Sacramento Wild Horse Program, Beekeeping, and Barista Skills.
  • Behavioral Treatment Programs: Aids offenders in experiencing and maintaining a sober and crime-free lifestyle. Substance abuse treatment programs include Relapse Prevention, Anger Management, and Medication-Assisted Treatment.
  • Tattoo Removal Service: Partners with a company who provides fully self-contained, ADA-compliant mobile tattoo removal units that function as mobile doctors' offices.

Eligibility: Adults, 18 and older, who have been convicted of an offense in Sacramento County that will be reentering the community from prison and jail.
