Highland Hospital, part of Alameda Health System, offers Financial Assistance and Charity Care for uninsured and underinsured patients who are unable to pay for medically necessary hospital services. Eligible patients may receive free or discounted care based on household income and financial need. Financial assistance is available regardless of immigration or citizenship status.  

If a patient does not qualify for Charity Care, Financial Counselors can assist with screening and applying for Medi-Cal and other county or state healthcare assistance programs.
