Description

Residential air cleaners are available for Lake Tahoe Basin residents in these areas:

Tahoe City (96145), Tahoma (96142), Kings Beach (96143), Carnelian Bay (96140), Homewood (96141).

Must be low income or participate in any of these programs:

  • Woman Infant and Children (WIC)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Medi-Cal, Medicaid, or other publicly subsidized full medical coverage
  • CARE/FERA (California Alternate Rates for Energy/Family Electric Rate Assistance)
  • CALFresh or SNAP Food Benefits
  • LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Section 8 Housing or HASLO

Eligibility: Be a Placer County resident that resides within an eligible zip-code and be either low income or participate in one of the eligible programs listed in the application. Adults Females Males
Availability: Up to 1 time every 1 year(s).
Languages: Translation Services, Spanish, English
Application Process: Fill out application and submit to correct email address along with proof of residency.
Program Fees: FREE
Documents Required: Proof of address, including the applicant’s name, is required. Acceptable forms include, but are not limited to: Energy bill (PG&E, Liberty Utilities), water/garbage bill, Driver’s License/State ID Card, or cable/internet bill
