UPDATE 3/3/21: Accepting online preliminary applications from persons 62 years of age or older and qualify for a one-bedroom unit, who are interested in leasing one-bedroom units in properties that are subsidized with project-based vouchers. Units can house the head-of-household and spouse, or significant other only. HABC will be accepting online preliminary applications for these units only until 11:59PM on Wed, June 30, 2021. Visit https://www.habc.org/habc-information/seniorlist/ for more information and to apply. If the applicant has an email address, they will receive a confirmation email that their Pre-Application Form has been received. Eligible applicants will be added to the Senior Project Based waiting list, and if their application reaches the top of the Senior Project Based waiting list, the Site that has an available unit and the HCVP office will contact the applicant for an eligibility determination. If an applicant needs to update their contact information, they should email HCVP.info@habc.org. If someone is unable to complete the preliminary application online because they have a disability, they can request a reasonable accommodation. This may include assistance with completing the application on-line or submitting the application in another format. HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM (HCVP)/SECTION 8: Rental assistance program that helps families with low-income, seniors and persons with disabilities afford housing in the private market. Participants may choose any housing type that suits the needs of their family, as long as the requirements of the program are met.

Encourages landlords to list available rental property with HCVP.  Landlands can send email to hcvpropertylisting@habc.org.
