Description
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: Provides safe and adequate sewage disposal and water supplies to the community. Permits and inspects all on-site sewage disposal systems, wells, maintains the county-wide groundwater monitoring network, and managed subdivision plats, plumbing, perc tests, and open burning. The Food Protection and Community Services Division works to provide a safe food supply to the community. Inspects all restaurants and temporary “festival-like” events, responsible for the licensing and inspection of all public pools/spas, and provide sanitary surveys for in-home day care, foster care, and adoptions. Also maintain the county-wide rabies surveillance system.
