Federal Government Shutdown Update: On November 12, 2025, the Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act of 2026 was enacted provided short-term funding for various government operations, including Head Start. The act included increased funding for Head Start programs. A full spending bill must be passed before January 30, 2026, in order to keep the government from shutting down again.
