Provides personal and domestic services to older adults and individuals with disabilities. Must be Medi-Cal eligible and need help with activities to remain safe in their home. Services provided by IHSS are based on need and may include:

• Domestic services such as cleaning, meal preparation and grocery shopping
• Personal care services such as grooming, bathing, and bowel and bladder needs
• Protective supervision

Please note: Recipients are responsible for:

• Hiring
• Supervising - recipients are responsible for supervising ‘their provider’
• Scheduling their own caregivers (IHSS providers)

Providers can be family members or friends, or a provider through IHSS. Call if interested in becoming a provider.
