COMMUNITY SECURITY PROGRAMS: Provides crime prevention services, home/business security surveys, and neighborhood watch. POLICE SERVICE: Prevents and detects crime, apprehends alleged criminals, enforces laws, and protects lives and property. VICTIMS SERVICE UNIT: Provides crisis intervention and referral services to victims and witnesses of crime. FINGERPRINTING: Available on first-come, first-served basis. PROJECT LIFESAVER: Provides a free search-and-rescue program for "at-risk" individuals who are prone to wandering/eloping due to autism, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive conditions. Enrolled individuals wear a small transmitter on the wrist or ankle that emits a frequency signal. If the individual goes missing, the caregiver notifies the Sheriff's Office, and an emergency team responds to the wanderer's area.
