Services:
1) HOUSING SERVICES: Intercedes with the mortgage company. Provides budgeting and financial advice, advice about financial literacy, and information about foreclosure alternatives and resources. Intake by phone with contact Jenniifer Glover and Renee Carroll, ext. 171

2) FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYERS PROGRAM: Training in budgeting, credit, and financial planning. Guide customers through the homebuying process. The fee for the program is $25 per person and $40 for two household members. Contact Jennifer Glover and Renee Carroll, ext 171

3) HOMELESSNESS SOLUTION PROGRAM-2-GEN PROGRAM: Assist homeless families through case management, training, and financial management, rental assistance, food, clothing, childcare, transportation, and provide additional resources. Must be a Prince George's County resident. Contact Tonya Edison at (301) 322-5700, ext. 126, or Miatta MaCauley, ext. 127, and Jade Mcneill, ext. 168

4) Food Pantry: Provides food for residents of Prince George's County by appointment only on Tuesday & Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 2pm. Please call (301) 322-5700, ext. 101.

5) Neighborhood Development/Weatherization: Prince George's residents can make their homes more energy efficient and reduce household bills through weatherization, minor rehab, and replacing old appliances with Energy-star rated appliances. We perform residential energy audits and remediation throughout the County to significantly reduce costs and help improve the environment. 6)Shepherd's Cove Shelter: Since 2004 UCAP has managed Shepherd's Cove in partnership with the PGC Department of Social Services. Our 100-bed emergency facility is operated and monitored 24/7, 365 days by caring professionals. Our case management staff uses the Continuum of Care Model which helps to effectively coordinate and link clients to resources. We provide a clean and safe enviornment with the ultimate goal to move customers into transitional/permanent housing.
