Adult Protective Services (APS) investigates reports of abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation involving vulnerable adults. APS works to assess safety concerns, provide protective interventions, and connect individuals with services to reduce risk and promote well-being. Respite Care provides financial reimbursement for short-term, temporary care for individuals with disabilities, allowing family caregivers time for rest, renewal, and the ability to maintain their caregiving responsibilities long-term.
Social Services to Adults (SSTA) is a voluntary case management program that assists adults with functional disabilities in accessing services and resources needed to maintain or improve independence and self-sufficiency within the community.
Adult Public Guardianship is a court-appointed program that provides substitute decision-making and oversight for vulnerable adults who have been legally determined to lack capacity and have no appropriate person available to serve as guardian. Guardians assist with decisions related to healthcare, housing, finances, and overall welfare.
