OVERVIEW: Provides programs for pregnant women and toddlers.
SERVICES:
1) HEALTHY START: Provides home visits to high risk pregnant women and adolescent girls beginning at age 12. Goal is to promote healthy pregnancies. Provides information and referrals to other programs such as WIC, financial assistance and housing. 301-883-7230/301-883-7572 fax.
2) ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: Inspects and provides permits for restaurants, institutional kitchens, nursing homes, swimming pools, food processing plants, septic systems and wells. Investigates hazardous materials, air quality, solid waste and rodent problems. Suite 318. 301-883-7605/301-883-4936 fax.
