OVERVIEW: Keeps and distributes vital records for Montgomery County.
SERVICES:
1) DEATH CERTIFICATES: Issues certified (with State Seal) death certificate documents on walk-in basis for 30 days from date of death, when original certificate was initially filed in the office. Requester must show non expired government issued photo ID. Proof of relationship or court documentation may also be required.
2) BIRTH CERTIFICATES: Issues certified (with State Seal) birth certificates on walk-in basis Monday through Thursday from 10AM - 2PM. Must have ID with picture (government issued) and fill out application. Cost is $18 per certificate. Cash, check and credit cards accepted. Call 240-773-1207 for additional information.
