Description
|
OVERVIEW: School-based collaboration among the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, the Montgomery County Public Schools and non-profit, community based service providers. The program provides accessible services to at-risk children and their families to improve adjustment to and performance in school, home, and community. Prevention and early intervention services include health, mental health, social services and educational support.
SERVICES:
o Child, group and family therapy
o Social skills and behavior management groups for students
o Parenting workshops and parent support groups
o Information, referral and follow-up for health care, food, clothing, housing, financial and legal aid
o Eligibility assistance for local, state and federal programs
o Health education and nutrition classes
o Adult education classes (e.g. English and computer)
o Educational supports to promote success for every student
