HEALTH INSURANCE: Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP), MCHP Premium Program, and Adult Expansion Programs provide free health coverage to eligible uninsured children age 19 and under and pregnant women of any age whose family earns too much money to get Medicaid, but not enough to afford private health insurance. A child may be eligible for Medicaid or MCHP even if the rest of the household does not.  MCHP provides full Medicaid coverage for children through a HealthChoice managed care organization (MCO).
