Description
|
EOPS is a state-funded program designed to recruit and retain students. It serves those who are economically and educationally disadvantaged. Services are designed to give students individualized attention and support. Services include: - Priority registration
- Textbook assistance
- Academic, vocational, transfer, and personal counseling
- Mentors that help with study skills and tutoring
- Phi Theta Kappa Membership Fees
- Scholarship money
- Tuition reductions/waivers for EOPS students who qualify based on academic achievements.
- Application fee waiver for CSU or UC systems
- Free Cap, Gown, and Honors Cord to eligible EOPS students who earn a degree or certificate.
CARE is a supplemental component of the EOPS program. Provides educational support services for single parents who are CalWORKs cash aid recipients. May help cover expenses such as childcare, transportation, meals, textbooks, and supplies.
