Description

Provides a payment credit towards electric, gas, or propane utility bill.

Credit is pay once a year to one utility company. Credit ranges from $403 to $755. Credit may take up to 8-12 weeks to appear on utility bill. Applicants are still responsible for paying utility bill while the credit is being processed.

Emergency help may be available for households with 24-48-hour or shut off notices through the Energy Crisis Intervention Program.

Program is provided through the San Joaquin County Department of Aging and Community Services. Energy credit support is subject to funding availability.

Hours Of Operation Phone line closed Mon-Fri 12noon-1pm. Website accessible Mon-Sun 24 hours. Office closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day.

Eligibility Applicants must be legal residents, meet income guidelines, and be named on the energy bill.
