Description

Provides tutoring for adults to improve reading, writing, or math skills. Sessions are three hours a week for six months. 

Lessons are designed around student's personal goals, with progress tracked based on what is most important to the student.

Program includes:

  • GED Preparation - Provides an online assessment to identify students' strengths and weaknesses in order to student for the exam.
  • English Conversation Clubs - For English Language Learners who wish to practice their English language speaking skills in a casual and relaxed environment.

Closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, Lincoln's Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Eligibility Individuals must meet criteria: *Must be 16 years of age or older *Speaks basic English and want to improve their basic literacy or math skills *Not currently enrolled in High School *Lives in San Joaquin County *Can commit to meeting once a week
