Provides assistance, advocacy and problem solving for individuals who are in a crisis situation/need for items such as: utilities, food, diapers, formula, prescriptions, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.
Catholic Charities is trying to get people to fill out their application forms online rather than call the agency for an application. If the client is in need of Rental Assistance, Homeless Assistance, Utilities Assistance, Diapers, Formula, SSI application assistance, food and other basic needs and/or referrals please contact the agency the following way:
1. Go to the website at https://www.ccdoy.org/locations/catholic-charities-of-ashtabula-county/ an click on the FAMILY ASSISTANCE APPLICATION red button
2. The caller can email Catholic Charities to request an application link. The email is: [email protected]
3. If the caller does not have technology like phone or internet: Paper applications are available on the third floor. Please fill out and place in the dropbox located in the 3rd floor lobby.

Eligibility

Residents of Ashtabula County in urgent need. Generally, assistance is limited to once within a 12-month period for utility assistance.

Must complete an application. Catholic Charities prefers people to fill out their application forms online. Applicants must have a copy of the bill they need assistance with. An account number is acceptable for Dominion or The Illuminating Company, A photo ID, Documents can be received through email.
