Alternate Name	HWAP; Refrigerator Replacement Program
Description	Provides energy saving measures which can include insulation, heating unit tune-up and repair, hot water tank tune up and repair, adding insulation to walls attics and floors, and refrigerator replacement to reduce energy expenditure. Customers are seen according to date of application and must be cared for in the order demanded by the state of Ohio. Programs are sometimes able to repair roofs, depending on inspection. No windows. Additional assistance may be available for area Seniors through Special Program application. For Special Programs application, the applicant must be the home owner. Refrigerator replacement program also available to those with working refrigerators that meter as high-energy or those with refrigerators that do not work. They must have a refrigerator currently to receive a new one.

Coverage Area	DHEO and United Way are Ashtabula county only. Emergency Home Repair is Ashtabula and Geauga. Fridge replacement and HWAP are all three counties. Defined coverage areas: Ohio Ohio Ohio - Ashtabula County Ohio - Geauga County Ohio - Lake County

Program
Eligibility	Ashtabula, Lake, & Geauga residents with annual household income under 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. Other eligibility criteria may exist depending on program funding. Direction Home of Eastern Ohio (DHEO) - Persons over 60 that own their homes do not have income guidelines.

Application Process	Must complete an application(s)
Documents Required	Completed application, proof of income for last 3 months, copies of your most recent gas and electric bill, proof of home-ownership (if the applicant is the homeowner). If mobile home, need a copy of title.


Normal Wait Times	Depends on Volume of assistance needed - Prioritize No heat calls during winter
