OVERVIEW: Offers comprehensive health services to meet the needs of Veterans.
1) MEDICAL SERVICES: Provides inpatient and outpatient treatment in Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology, Neurology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Chiropractic and Rheumatology. The Medical Service physician staff also perform evaluations for Regional Office Exams for veterans applying for compensation and pension. Call 304-263-0811 or 800-817-3807 EX 5160.
2) MENTAL HEALTH: Provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact emotional well-being. Services include Bereavement Counseling, Health improvement Program, Family Psycho-Education Program, Primary Care-Mental Health Integration Program, Suboxone Maintenance Program, Inpatient Psychiatry, Mainstream Brain Injury, Mental Health Intensive Case Management, Outpatient Psychiatry and incarcerated Vet Program. 3) MENTAL HEALTH RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION TREATMENT PROGRAM: Services include a Center For Addiction Treatment, Health Maintenance Program, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Center, Gaining Occupational And Living Skills and Therapeutic Supported Employment Services/Compensated Work Therapy. 4) HOMELESS VETERANS PROGRAM: Provides a Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans, emphasizing vocational rehabilitation and assistance in locating a safe, affordable living environment. Call 877-424-3838 for assistance.
5) SEXUAL TRAUMA: Provides counseling to all service personnel who experienced sexual trauma while in military service. VA disability rating is NOT required to receive services, and individuals may be eligible even if not eligible for other VA care. Do NOT need to have reported the incident(s) when they happened or have any documentation that they occurred. Not required to have served in an area of armed hostilities. 6) PRIMARY CARE: Offers an extensive range of treatment interventions with emphasis on health care prevention. Call 304-263-0811 or 800-817-3807 EX 5130.
7) SURGICAL SERVICES: Provides care for veterans through consultation by their primary care provider. Services include General Surgery (includes laparoscopic surgery), Optometry, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Urology and Podiatry. Call 304-263-0811 or 800-817-3807 EX 5180.
8) SPECIALTY CARE: Offers comprehensive medical care. Services include Audio Speech Pathology, Clinical Nutrition, Dental, Ear-Nose-Throat, Rehab Medicine and Wound Management. Call 304-263-0811 or 800-817-3807 and press #2 than #3.
9) GERIATRIC/LONG-TERM CARE: Provides Veterans who are elderly and have complex needs, and Veterans of any age who need daily support and assistance. Veterans can receive care at home, at the medical center or in the community. Services include Adult Health Day Care, Nursing Home Program, Home Based Primary Care, Homemaker Home Health, Home Respite, Inpatient Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Inpatient Respite, Inpatient Hospice Palliative Care, Geriatric Evaluation Clinic, Palliative Consultation Service and Medical Foster Home Program. 10) MOVE! PROGRAM: A national weight management program for Veterans. Provides a multi-disciplinary approach with a dietitian, a psychologist and a physical therapist all working together to provide guidance with dietary changes, behavioral changes and fitness and exercise classes. 11) PROSTHETICS AND SENSORY AIDS SERVICES: Provides specialized quality patient care by furnishing properly prescribed prosthetic equipment, sensory aids and devices in the most economical and timely manner. Groups serviced include Amputees, Spinal Cord Injured and Spinal Cord Dysfunction, Blind and Visually Impaired, Hearing and Speech Impaired, Podiatric Care, Cardio-Pulmonary Disease, Traumatic Brain Injury and Traumatic Brain Dysfunction, Neurologically Dysfunction, Muscular Dysfunction, Orthopedic Care, Diabetics, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Cerebral/Vascular Disease and Geriatric Patients. Call 304-263-0811 or 800-817-3807 EX 3732 for information and reserve a seat. 14) CAREGIVER SUPPORT: Program for family members and friends who care for Veterans. Offers on-line courses, face-to-face classes, telephone support, and peer support. 15) AGENT ORANGE/PERSIAN GULF SYNDROME: Provides information on Agent Orange or PTSD. Provides physical examination for veterans who think they may have an illness related to these conditions.

Eligibility
|
Individuals who served in active military, naval or air service and separated under any condition other than dishonorable may qualify for VA health care benefits. Current and former members of the Reserves or National Guard who were called to active duty (other than for training only) by a federal order and completed the full period for which they were called or ordered to active duty may be eligible for VA health care.
