Description
|
HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS: Provides Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8 vouchers) for families to rent private homes in opportunity areas in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard Counties, as well as Baltimore City. The Program provides pre-move counseling, post-move counseling, and housing search assistance. Housing counselors help prepare participants to move by working on credit, budgeting, and communicating with landlords, and they support participating families as they adjust to life in a new community.

Eligibility
|
Must be a current resident in a Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC) family public housing; displaced or relocated from HABC family public housing that was demolished; a former resident in HABC family public housing between January 31, 1995 and present; currently on HABC's wait list for family public housing or Housing Choice Voucher programs; or currently living in Baltimore City and would like to be considered for the program.
