Description
|
United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) fights for the health, education, financial stability, and access to life’s basic essentials for every person in every community we serve in Choctaw, Clarke, Mobile, and Washington counties.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life in the community and our vision is to strengthen communities by focusing on uniting and mobilizing resources that support the building blocks for a better life.
We all benefit when more people are able to access quality, affordable health care, when a child succeeds in school, when someone finds a job that will help them provide for their family, or when someone doesn’t have to choose between paying bills or paying for food.
To have strong and stable communities, families within those communities must be strong and stable. This requires quality education, good health, financial stability, and access to life’s basic essential needs.
By targeting solutions in identified high-need communities, United Way of Southwest Alabama can change the trajectory for families, their communities, and ultimately the region as a whole.
