Community Action Partnership Huntsville/Madison & Limestone Counties, Inc. (CAPHMLC) assists with home energy bills for qualifying residents of Madison and Limestone counties through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).  The LIHEAP program is to assist eligible households in meeting their immediate home energy needs. Households are eligible for one LIHEAP regular heating payment and one LIHEAP regular cooling payment per year. Households that have members who are elderly, disabled or have children 18 years of age or younger, may qualify for additional crisis assistance if funding is available. Utility assistance payments will be made directly to the vendor on behalf of households eligible for LIHEAP. Funding for the LIHEAP program is provided by the Federal government.
