WEATHERIZATION SERVICES:
The Weatherization Program's purpose is to assist qualified homeowners in the practice of protecting their home and its interior from the elements, particularly from sunlight, precipitation, and wind to reduce energy consumption and optimize energy efficiency. Projects may include weather stripping, caulking windows and doors, cellulose insulation, installing door sweeps, installing switch plate gaskets, spray foam around doors and sealing many other air infiltrations.
Also, HVAC and roof repair
Weatherization and Critical Build Program (DOTHAN CITY LIMITS ONLY) Updated 3/2021 - Provide repairs to heating/cooling units, roofs, electrical and plumbing issues and other critical home repairs.
- Each project cannot exceed $5,000.
Eligibility: - Own your own home and own no other property.
- Live INSIDE the City Limits of Dothan.
- Meet the income requirements (80% of the median income)
* Mobile Homes DO NOT Qualify
Proof of the home deed, a current utility bill, income, and a driver's license are required with the completed application.
Applications may be picked up at the Habitat Office at 2086 Montgomery Hwy, Dothan, AL.
