The Older Alabamians System of Information and Services program, known as OASIS , is a federally funded program designed to assist persons 55 and older and visually impaired in living more independently in their homes. OASIS offers older Alabamians rehabilitation teaching services, orientation and mobility instruction, low-vision examinations and devices, individual peer support, support groups, mail reading services, and transportation assistance to low-vision clinics.
