SUBSTANCE USE/MENTAL HEALTH PEER SUPPORT: Provides support for individuals who are in recovery from substance use and/or mental health related conditions, and is willing to self-identify as a peer and work to help others with their goals to maintain recovery. Peer Support Specialists assist their peers in goal setting, learning and practicing new skills, and assist in their treatment. They also model effective coping techniques, self-help strategies, and support them in advocating for themselves.
