Description
|
OVERVIEW: Assists veterans by providing counseling services.
SERVICES: 1) COUNSELING: Individual, marital, and family counseling and referral services are offered to veterans who are experiencing problems adjusting to civilian life due to having served in an area of armed hostilities.
2) COMBAT VETERANS GROUP COUNSELING: Provided to veterans and active military who are having combat-related problems, such as difficulty coping with the loss of comrades during the war.
3) SEXUAL TRAUMA COUNSELING: Offered to all servicemen and women who experienced sexual trauma while in military service. Not required to have served in an area of armed hostilities.
4) REFERRALS: Gives referrals to veterans who are trying to receive their VA benefits.

Eligibility
|
Veterans who served in an area of armed hostilities and did not receive a dishonorable discharge. Also those who are currently active-military. Do not have to be currently enrolled in the VA system.
