MEDICAID SERVICES:
This agency certifies individuals for Medicaid which provides assistance with the cost of medical care for certain individuals and families with low incomes and/or resources. This agency also assists clients with their questions and problems concerning Medicaid. Medicaid patients are eligible for smoking cessation medications if they are a full Medicaid recipient or a pregnant Medicaid client. District Offices are set up to receive and process applications for the elderly and disabled programs, nursing home care and programs that help pay Medicare premiums
MEDICAID NET PROGRAM:
Medicaid's NET program is set up to help pay for rides to and from a doctor's office, clinic or other place or medical care that can be planned ahead of time. This ride can be in a personal car, a car of a friend, neighbor or family member, or on a bus or van. Patients can also get a ride on a city bus or from a group in their town or area.
