Description CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER:   
The Child Development Center (CDC) provides a safe and quality environment for children and grandchildren of SAMC employees, as well as employees of affiliated physicians’ offices. The CDC was established in 1992 and is licensed by the Alabama Department of Human Resources. It offers a theme base, hands on curriculum. The CDC accepts children from 6 weeks to 14 years old. There is an annual registration fee for all children at the CDC.

Program
Program Fees Rate schedule and curriculum: Infants, six weeks to 18 months old are provided with a warm, stimulating environment designed to enhance development and nurture growth. $110 a week Toddlers, 18 months to 2 ½ years are exposed to unit themes and play that encourages learning through individual developmental patterns. $105 a week Pre-School 2 ½-5 years are in child-centered classrooms where qualified teachers facilitate group and individual activities. Each age level in pre-school builds the foundation of preparedness for kindergarten. $95 a week
