Description
|
CONSUMER PROTECTION: Provides consumers with assistance in resolving complaints concerning unfair and deceptive trade practices. Mediates and arbitrates consumer complaints against businesses and tenant complaints against landlords. Does not represent individual consumers in court. Operates a general consumer hotline and health hotline to answer questions. Provides information concerning business compliant records. Offers a variety of publications to consumers including information on scams, identity theft, landlord/tenant rights/responsibilities, purchasing health care, selecting a nursing home, and other subjects.
