Description
|
NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION: Provides non emergency transportation to medical appointments covered under Medical Assistance plan. NOTE: If calling about a scheduled ride on same day call AAA Transport. If missed too many rides, service may be denied. Service is not available when county offices are closed, however will try to accommodate those getting dialysis or methadone treatment.

Eligibility
|
Anne Arundel County resident who has Medical Assistance as primary insurance. Must have an appointment covered under MA insurance. Must not have a car or not be able to drive. Must not live on a bus route or Mobility transport route. Must not be eligible to ride with County Office or Transportation service (senior ride program).

Application Process
|
Call for screening. Rides must be scheduled two days in advance. If the appointment date is the day after a holiday, must call two days prior to holiday.
