Description
|
OVERVIEW: Ensures the safety and general welfare of the public by preventing and detecting crime, apprehending criminals, enforcing laws, and protecting lives and property by: - Providing pre- and post-trial detention for Allegany County; drug abuse and alcoholism counseling through the ACHD; and opportunities for inmates to prepare for/earn high school equivalency (GED)
- Assuring the safety and general welfare of the public by preventing and detecting crime, apprehending criminals, enforcing laws, and protecting lives and property.
- Providing a program for low-risk, sentenced inmates to remain employed. When not at their job, inmate must remain at home and is monitored for compliance with electronic ankle bracelet.
