FAMILY PRESERVATION: Provides services designed to strengthen and preserve families. Collaborates with family members to ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of the children and family. Helps to stabilize families by offering advocacy, parent education, and support. Refers to community resources like mental health care, substance abuse treatment, domestic violence counseling, programming for children and resources for employment, financial assistance, and education.
The team's Kinship Navigator supports relative caregivers. The Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Team (START) works with families who are struggling with substance use disorders and have children five years old and younger.
Families may be referred by Child Protective Services, schools, community partners/organizations, courts, social workers, and family self-referral.
